About
MAGGIE MIDDLETON is an artist and printmaker. As a Tamarind trained lithographer she collaboratively prints with other artists, teaches demos and workshops, and produces her own artwork. She received her MFA in Printmaking at the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław Poland. She received her bachelor’s degree from Oberlin College where she majored in Comparative Literature and Studio Art. She was raised in Reston, VA. Her own work ranges from traditional printmaking techniques to wearable art, and her artistic interests include: feminist issues in the depiction of women in art, the gendering of pattern, exotification of culture, and religious iconography. She now lives in Walla Walla, WA and works at Crow’s Shadow Institute of the Arts, and she has a studio space at Chrysalis Studios.
